fluctuations can happen in both directions and yup, the protocol should be able to deal with it. there might be ways to minimize the impact of such fluctuations on LPs and I do think we should explore these and potentially add defenses (circuit breakers?) in case it happens. It comes with some challenges that we need to carefully consider though. but the bottom line is that I think the first step should be *the beginning* of a solution that we can start implementing while community discussions continue to tackle all the improvements and edge cases we need to handle. the key here is to get to a point we can start implementing :)
