I’ve been pondering on what is honestly the purpose of

crypto and what is it that is being achieved? Essentially its what is blockchain achieving? I know a lot of developers who trash talk about it and always comes up as a joke saying oh hey we can add blockchain and problem solved. Are we trying to create a solution for a non existing problem? I know SKL goal is to be similar to AWS and provide gasless user experience.

But going a bit deeper, what is skl actually trying to solve? Besides being a better L2 . I guess this goes deeper into honestly what the heck is the point of all this. What is it blockchain/crypto space trying to solve. For bitcoin its pretty straightforward.

Think deeply on what were trying to accomplish in this industry. What’s the point of crypto? Is it to get rich quick and life will automatically be better? Is it really? When we look to the 21st century, we will see we’re in a market for a new social operating system. How will we run society? Everything is up for grabs. We have a lack of legitimacy, corruption in those we trust (media, healthcare, government, central banks etc). When we see all these things and the past support methods don’t give us the courage for a better future, everyone starts to look for hope. Some will have you believe the dark systems in the 19th/20th century is the solution. Some will have you believe that we need a new system like blockchain. In many ways its a philosophy. Maximizing individuality and giving power to the people.
