The spec seems really well thought out, the people involved went through great lengths to make sure it doesn't break anything, and it doesn't require additional infrastructure like SLP does
I suspect CashTokens may need a huge amount of infrastructure. Not only should SLP & SEP20 tokens be supported for all eternity, but CT too. They "need" token tracking like EtherScan, TronScan & bscScan. These websites are considered proof of payment in P2P infrastructure. While tether may support SLP, they may not support CT or SEP20. I'd have to support whatever tether supports. 😔
I'm pretty sure sure you were told in depth in the Cashtoken dev channel why this isn't true.
the only infrastructure CashToken needs are fancy frontends, everything else is already integrated into the backend and can be run simply by having a node, iirc
I think tether can move to CT or sep20 when they are ready and robust
well, block explorers do more than that, but like, they do the same job for bch already, the simplest upgrade would be just aesthetics of showing the token data in its own box when you pull a transaction, but even if they don't upgrade you'd see your tokens as part of locking script
