I saw a press release this week that Venmo was

allowing users to send crypto to other users within the app, and they specifically called out that this was available in the USA.

I updated my Venmo app, and was able to purchase some BCH. But I couldn't find any way to send it to another Venmo user.

Has anyone else tried this? Any success?

I noticed in the press release, it said that they would roll this feature out. So that might explain why I didn't see it yet. I might not be in the first wave of users with access to the feature.

Hmm... I just downloaded the Paypal app, and I'm not seeing anything in there about crypto. No option to purchase. It doesn't even mention it anywhere.

i didnt use any app, i just logged in with a normal web browser on the desktop

Oh, from reading the help, it appears my issue is that I have a business account. Crypto is not available for business accounts.
