to help people. People like to help. It's good to provide avenues for variously skilled fans to participate. Here's an example- "running a node." You can see from time to time that many people just instinctively want to "run a node." It appeals to their techy nature and simultaneously to their urge to chip in and help. Sadly if it's not a bch mining node then the participation is largely symbolic.
*But* with cashfusion it can actually be said that we have something called a *BCH Privacy Node*. When you have cf toggled on, you are "running a Privacy Node" for the good of all.
Yes, it needs a wallet to operate on, so fine- give it one. The point is that you are running a Privacy Node.
Break out your old phone from your bottom drawer and run a Privacy Node for BCH. This BCH Privacy Node app can even be a standalone app. (Imagine for example that the PN incorporates Karol's coin migration EC plugin thing that then, when provided with a destination AlreadyFused wallet address and your xpub, forwards sufficiently-fused coins gradually, migrating them from your PN wallet to your hot/pocket and/or cold wallet throughout the day, week.
It provides ways for enthusiasts to participate and it's not BS.
super cool idea. Although running a non mining node isn't as symbolic as you say, it does matter. A lot less than the average laser eye will tell you, but a lot more than nothing.
I suggested a cashfusion or wallet feature a few days ago. Either a fusion/h or fees/h limit so you can run cashfusion as long as you want without the risk of sudden spike of tx that cost you more than anticipated.
