alternative stablecoin bridge partners? Multichain is either already dead or not worth this community's trust. DeFi on tEVM will be practically dead until some trustworthy stablecoin comes in. We may need to finally bite the bullet and pay Circle or Tether to deploy a native version to Telos and tEVM.
If I had to guess, I think it’d be a matter of TVL/vol. as much as straight up paying. I’d assume these conversations have happened.
What will happen to the USDC in Telos?
Rubic looks interesting...I'm not sure if it Telos has launched on it yet though?
I totally agree, although there are probably other options available like wormwhole etc. Lets not forget its not just about stables, but also bridging other tokens ... also having USDT native to EOS and IBC would be very easy to bridge USDT from EOS to TLOS. Seems there are plenty of options and there is no reason to panic, but we need a bit more action and clarification from TF, not just waiting! To me, multichain is dead too, even if they somehow restore the router. Proactive measures need to be taken by TF to protect the Defi and ensure similar things wont happen again. Being passive is not an option imho.
Lot to go through here in the chat. The assumption that TF is sitting idle is absolutely wrong. We already have meetings scheduled last week with more partners. The ideal solution for the ecosystem is direct native Integration especially for stables, but these will take time and have certain requirements to achieve, we do have active communication channels open for these as well. From EOS to Telos, seems easy but again it comes down to security of the assets. We are considering options.
I don't know where the idea came from that we only need to pay them. If it was as simple as that it would already be done
I asked what was going on there; I didn't accuse you of sitting idle, if I'm who you were meaning. I'm glad to hear you have talks going on. Regarding officially bridging USDT EOS to Telos, there was discussion about thus with the ENF in an Antelope Coalition meeting. It's an option Yves is willing to extend but we would need to have a more equal cost-sharing than we do with other Coalition expenses. I think it's worth exploring.
It was response to the message from it.
The idea came from a conversation with Yves LaRose in a couple of Antelope Coalition meetings. Official USDT is available to us through the ENF's deal but it will be pricey. (Around $1M USD/ year is the number I recall.) Jesse was there and can confirm. It's also probably recorded.
