I think you proxied to Newpool proxy until the 28th and then voted for BPs yourself on 28th ? If you meant what you received from newpool as staking reward, it is not staking reward.

It is not staking rewards that you received from Newpool. You are giving up your power to vote and they are giving you rewards for it so that they can vote for BPs on your behalf. Not staking rewards. Maybe call it proxy rewards , I'm not sure 🤞

You are saying it somehow, if I was to vote for myself, you can say I would receive even better? Is there any other way or newpool is the only way to earn?

EOS has an inbuilt staking mechanism. It is kind of busted now but the funds never leaves your account. It is safer but not a lot to earn. Then there is proxy. You stake - get voting power - You exchange that voting power with a proxy and maybe get rewards from it ( Not all proxy gives out reward ) The third option is to stake on a DEX like Defibox, DYOR. It means sending tokens over to them like a typical staking and getting an increased return when you unstake from them. This one has its risk as the tokens are no longer under your custody.
