But in general the additional energy for people to use

decentralized systems seems not really working out yet.

Often I still hear people saying projects like crypto, kbin and mastodon require additional time, effort and knowledge. So in general people keep using centralized solutions.

Simply because it's easier.. More convenient. Bleeeh. What to do about that? It's an inherent issue of decentralization, until we fully remove the overhead.

personally I strongly suspect its due to the fact that it takes a team effort to build something great. Decentralized concepts need a special mindset. Good fast and nice UI needs a very different mindset. Very often not found in one person. So if you look at LBRY / odysee, you see they managed quite well in their team. I don't really know of any other projects that managed well. The ones that look pretty tend to be pretty bad at the technical stuff.
