a private company just developing EOSIO Software with the ICO money and not "EOS" , Why was there a token vesting in the first place ?
Why would EOS tokens be vested to b1 if they only promised to build open-sourced software that any one can use ?
I mean if TELOS started along with EOS then they should have vested tokens to b1 too ?
So why was EOS token given to a private company that had already received money via ICO to produce the said software ?
It was a gesture of good will to encourage them to continue working on the EOSIO protocol. That’s why it was vested for 10 years. Any EOSIO network could have launched and given B1 a vested amount of tokens for the same purpose. Telos if I remember correctly did not, and I believe that was intentional.
I wonder who proposed this gesture. 4b was "supposedly" for EOSIO Software 🤞
I think it was decided upon before the ICO was even completed. The ICO was an auction style, so no one had any idea what it’d raise.
