EV owners with fully charged cars sending their charge back to the grid in times of need or?
This and imagine you don’t need your car for the next 12 hours, and when you do you want it to be charged 60% or more. You could give back to the grid when electricity is needed and at times when there is less demand your EV will charge.
This would work only for some evs, Teslas for example do not have vehicle to load (v2l) or vehicle to grid (v2g) enabled atm, but Kia, like ev6, and Hyundai e.g. ioniq 5 or 6, do have these features enabled atm.
Yeah it was planned for 2025
Do you have details around this? Would it be only for new cars with lithium iron phosphate batteries only, or also for the older cobalt battery cars?
I believe Tesla is going towards this direction
