I’m about to stop using 1inch forever… it wasn’t doing that before
Hi there, please open a support ticket in Discord discord.gg/1inch or via the chat icon (bottom-left side) of our help center: https://help.1inch.io/en/ to further check on it.
This is actually normal when swapping Ethereum (ETH) tokens on a decentralized exchange, like 1inch—the token is converted to Wrapped Ether (WETH) before the swap occurs. WETH is an ERC-20 token that represents Ether (ETH) on the Ethereum blockchain. You might have used fusion mode for the swap, where you don't need ETH to pay for the gas fee, rather gas fee is taken from your output tokens. More info here: https://help.1inch.io/en/articles/6800254-fusion-swap-faq You can also opt for classic mode and pay for the gas in ETH instead.
It wasn’t like this before… anyhow back to uniswap then as it don’t do this
Legacy mode is the standard swap, you can use that instead. There's also an option not to turn on Fusion mode by default in the settings
Why and when did fusion mode became default?? What’s the reason for this
Hi there, double checking on the date as to when it became a default mode; the reason for this is that it's the new feature but the 2 modes, classic and fusion, are visible on the UI, where users can choose which option to do the swap.
Still don’t get it… why do you want people to swap twice? You want double the fees or what lol 😂
No you don't actually swap twice. Maybe that was an approval transaction, which is needed (1st step) before you can actually swap. https://help.1inch.io/en/articles/4585113-why-do-i-need-to-approve-my-tokens-before-a-trade
