focusing on right now is?
For example, if I knock on the doors of several IT companies with eos technology at this point, will I be able to compete with layer 1 technologies in the top 20 market capitalization, such as Solana Cosmos and Avalanche?

There are clear ways that EOS wins against competitors. For instance, some things other chains are trying to even catch up to EOS about (like Account Abstraction which has always existed on EOS and is only now being implemented on EVM chains). And the things we are working heavily on (like instant finality) are that extra that pushes EOS over the edge to a place where it's very hard for others to compete in aspects like finality. We are close to full EVM parity with other top chains (almost every top chain on CMC is EVM compatible, which tells you a lot about its importance), and are only missing a few critical pieces like websocket support that are already underway and in development.
