Yes, it should be. But for now the inflation rate is 10%
Is it coming down for a specific reason, e.g. because of block speeds, a proposal to lower staking rewards etc?
Injective is POS and therefore it is inflationary with burning mechanism put in place in order to offset the inflation potentially. The burning depends on the trading fees paid as 60% of them go towards the auction. Also with the introduction of INJ 2.0 now all dApps built on Injective can contribute to the INJ burn auction with no limit on how much they can burn. They can decide to contribute from 0% to 100% to the auction. https://blog.injective.com/inj-burn-2-0/
Indeed. INJ 2.0 is great news on the burning side
https://docs.injective.network/learn/basic-concepts/inj_coin#1-proof-of-stake-security the goal has always been to get the inflation down to 2%, and now we are going to slowly (and by slowly I mean veeery slowly, maybe not even 1-2% per year) decrease it by changing on chain parameters.
Great thanks Bojan. I think it's a very important goal.
