How does the computing power of the holo ecosystem compare

to cloud services? Will developers save significant hosting costs or are costs mostly comparable? I understand there isn't an exact answer for this right now but would just like to know what the team thinks based on current progress. If the price for holo hosting is not competitive, wouldn't that be the limiting factor for mass adoption? My apologies if this has been asked many times before. I've been involved with holo for a while now but just discovered the telegram and can't believe I can actually have a back-and-forth discussion as opposed to just spinning my wheels endlessly

It’s likely at the start the cost of Holo Hosting could cost more than AWS etc. Nobody knows what Holo services will cost because there is no market to see what price things will settle on. The thing to keep in mind is that there is no other hosting service that can support distributed app hosting. If I want the benefits of hApps, Holo is my only option. Worth the extra cost for the security. Amazon, etc can decide to terminate my service if they decide they don’t like what I am offering.

Me too. I will provide hosting crazy cheap. I have solar and batteries. It won't cost me a cent above what I am already paying for internet. No cloud provider will be able to compete. Maybe it will change later when web3 dapps start throwing serious money around.

Buy a Holoport from a 3rd party and then will have to wait for beta. I’ve seen some people in the chat trying to sell in the past. You can also wait till when the software is available to download and you use your pc’s specs.
