Yesterday, I took the English exam (TOEIC) and was surprised.

The results are on the blockchain, which made me wonder about the viability of the Datalayer in this case. For instance, it's agreed that the Datalayer is primarily designed for communication among blockchain projects. But if someone wants to store information and share it with people who aren't on the blockchain, it wouldn't work, right?

It's not primarily designed for communication among blockchain projects. To put it very simply; it's designed so you could read blockchain data, but not for the end-user. Think of Data Layer like a logistics service. Some company produces materials, then a logistic company ships it to be processed, a manufacturer creates valuable goods to be sold, and then the user buys these goods directly from them. In this blockchain context, that material is blockchain data, the logistics company is Data Layer, the manufacturer is a developer (to simplify), and then the end-user would be you.
