yeah 50% is a bit conservative iirc, and he'll have to do this anyway if he wants to "abolish pesos" like he campaigned. argentina doesn't have even close to enough foreign exchange to redeem pesos at previous official rate. "there is no money" isn't a rhetorical device.
yeah thats my understanding... he's "slashing it 50%" but that was the actual market rate on the street
