finality? Looks like the 390-450ms (sub 500) is what the fastest L1 chains have at the moment (Sei and Sui, I believe). So wanted to see how Telos compares. Ofcourse, Sui is moveVM, so may not be apples-to apples.
For now, finality comes after each bp has completed a block producing cycle. 21 block producers, 12 blocks per bp per cycle, .5 second block times, comes out to 126 seconds. BUT, coming soon in Leap 5.0, we will have "instant finality" which will be within seconds
From my understanding- they way we treat finality on telos is super modest and a little decieving. From what i understand is that even the current state is final enough within a few seconds for 99.999% of use cases. the near term upgrade just ties some string to the bow
