read-only wallet (from a master public key)?
Is it wise to let potential street muggers know your balance when they do a $5 wrench attack on you? I would rather have my large balance at home, where nobody can see it and only keep a small balance on me.
to be fair, a read only wallet PLUS a "hidden wallet" feature is a very cool combo, and something we hope to one day support in Selene
I get it, but it is for a special purpose.
It's trivial to do. The 13th / 25th word in BIP38 serves as a password. Just add a second wallet function with different password. Of course, even adding a function that seems trivial might be a lot of coding, depending on circumstances.
