I don't disagree with your assessment. High hopes all around. However, the whitepaper was pretty specific about the value of the token. I'm sure a lot of people made a lot of money, I just wasn't one of them.

Had the machinations behind EOS been steered with a deft hand, the token would have indeed transcended into a speculative asset, a bastion of value. Alas, like lambs led to the slaughter, EOS has been pillaged, its essence drained by the ENF.
