EOS currently has a 3% inflation, so the supply is continually increasing. RAM is a finite resource required for developers to build on EOS. Price is determined by the Bancor algorithm rather than market, so price continues to increase as RAM supply is used. By buying RAM you are locking your EOS into the RAM Pool. If you're not building on EOS and do not plan on using the blockchain, but are investing, you will better retain value by holding your investment in RAM. You can sell the RAM for EOS at anytime. More utility and incentives for RAM holders are coming soon.
