that whole section about takeover is just fundamentally false
Half of the paper is nonsense and fundamentally false. Personally I consider snet to be a sinking ship and imo it's foolish to believe snet stands a chance alone against big tech for the race to AGI for a variety of reasons. As much as i don't want to merge with agix truth is that united we just might a chance and opencog can shine
It's not a now or never sunshine, despite wat ur told. Vote #no Renegotiate!
Renegotiate what exactly
its his imaginary renegotiation - ive tried to explain but… deaf ears
All aspects of the merger, with community involvement in stead of a centralised approach
Why exactly @Physix1 can there NEVER be a renegotiation?
This is as good as it gets
i wouldnt say “never”, only that i think leading people to believe a no vote will lead to renegotiate, gives them an imaginary path that may lead them ot regret their decision
If the vote was no, I think there would still be appetite for a merger
you think that, thats fine - i just prefer to counter it when you say so, because i suspect strongly that is not the case - and people should be aware of that
Any evidence or in depth analysis to fundament of your personal opinion? It would be very enlightening to have actual arguments supporting your views. Thanks in advance.
Big tech will still be ahead, a threat. We will still always be stronger together .. It would be natural to head into a renegotiation.
non the less - these were the terms that were agreed, because other terms were not
These terms were agreed by a few and punished the snet + ocean holders
and if the commnunity decides against it - would seem we are done with the plan 🙂
Then it seems your motivations have not been publicly declared and it appears you are ONLY interested in THIS merger ..
The decision against would be completely down to the ratio. Since everyone involved is perfectly happy with market-cap as the basis for ratios, let's revisit when SNET is 2x of FET, I am sure it will pass 99% with the FET community when they take a 50% slash.
I definitely think some version of this plan is a great idea… We’re just not at that great idea right yet… I think we could have open discussions and a series of iterative votes for a period of 30 to 45 days and we could really get this squared away
but we live in the real world of the vote happening now 🙂
Well, a “no” vote would actually just mean that we could look at it and present another option a few weeks or a month down the road
And that is perfectly OK. No need for FOMO here. SNET is fine, plans are on the run. We have a great team and years of intellectual and technical expertise ahead from current bigtech options according to our beloved @bengoertzel . If the team.keeps rowing sooner than later we will see Snet taking over AI space
there is an assumption that ocean and fetch wont watch all this unfold and say… better off without those “NOers” 😉
They NEED what we are developing
they WANT to help in the race to ASI - they have their own products which dont NEED ours
Again, and that is fine. No worse place to be than somewhere where your supposed fellow mergers think that about us..
If they want AGI, then they do. It's clear from the 99% vote Fetch is only interested in being the majority
Nobody needs what you're developing. By the time you acquire the funds and scale it up, someone's AI will have already invented it. Wait 2 years and see how many other start ups are out there doing the same
No we really don't
Also agix still has no product or utility 7 years post ico and a pretty terrible track record. What exactly is it that I need that snet has to offer. For all I know and until proven otherwise opencog is just another empty promise that might one day come into fruition
Why the 99.8% yes vote then 🤣
because they're taking a lion's share of the SNET ecosystem for free thanks to an early bull market pump.
Fetch didn't solely vote abou merging with agix don't forget that
Yes 99.8% of fetch wants to merge with ocean
yeah, they're getting handed the lion's share of OCEAN as well thanks to "pumping 1st"
At least we get a 1:1 conversion as ocean stakers
ocean's conversion rate is worse than AGIX's - and holders had no vote
Oh it's really not we get 2.4X of our staked tokens
ahh... so if you had 1,000,000 you end up with 2.4 million?
Yea but half are locked for 4y
sounds like a great deal for Ocean holders
Holders are rekt stakers get rewarded
ohh... that's strange
