This is very interesting. Is the lock up contract and time public?

Lockup time is private, and not public seen in the blockchain. You can see the details of the example in the video here: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/address/prpmjusr2hdgvrm0n00c27l9npry4wljwqyzvaru3l

I didn’t watch the video, but I followed the link Paul posted above and see that the timelock was apparently very short. I’m not as familiar with the scripting language as I want to be yet, but I’ve been studying cashscript and its implementation in popcorn and unspent as well as folowing dev discussion. I can tell you that unspent contracts/redemption scripts can be “published” which makes them known prior to their redemption, and I suspect the same would be true here (but only someone with the contract can publish it, so it’s not like someone can know unless you or the plugin wants them to). I can also tell you that, depending on how the contract is written, publishing it or even waiting for confirmation after broadcasting your transaction could have risk, as broadcasting your transaction might reveal the contract, and a miner might be able to replace your transaction with one more favorable to said miner that still fulfills the contract. The miner would still have to get the block, and they can only do this if the contract “allows” it (I haven’t looked at the plugin’s contract, but I should hope it wouldn’t).

Ok. One more clarification. Are the contract details private or the fact that it is a timelock? Or both?

Temporary the bch will be sent to a random address, and after the time lock is over, the unlock sends it back. Because it are transaction on the blockchain these transactions are public, I am not that technical as Dustin above here, but I understood you cannot see that the transaction is part of a smart contract. @The00Dustin please correct me if I am wrong here

You can see that it is a special address, but I'm not positive the type of address indicates only contract.
