What’s the incentive for the merchants to adopt BitcoinCash? I see

two:

1) customers are asking for it
2) lower payment processing fees compared to credit cards

But there are drawbacks for the merchant, how to hedge volatility against the local currency, the majority of the merchant expenses are likely denominated in local currency

Tax optimization. Split the saving with customers.

IRS will get on your ass quickly this way, not gonna work. Ultimately, no extra taxes should be paid for paying with a foreign/international currency, like there is no tax paid when you pay with EUR instead of USD.
