min fee is not consensus, any miner can offer cheaper than the default I see min. fee as training wheels until network actually has significant sustained use halving the min. every 4 yrs ought to be fine: https://twitter.com/bchautist/status/1737464178955227547 and once network actually starts seeing use and organic growth then eventually we'll discover a natural fee floor

There was some discussions regarding this a few years ago. https://bitcoincashresearch.org/t/lower-the-default-relay-fee-create-a-fee-estimation-algorithm/ And: https://bitcoincashresearch.org/t/chip-2021-05-minimum-fee-rate-voting-via-versionbits/ I'm sleeping good at night knowing that this problem is (a) very far away and (b) can be solved without changing consensus.
