side of things. Is there a 'for dummies' intro thing that would, for instance, give me a list of wallets both compatible with walletconnect and that can handle cashtokens?
It's OK, I just found this https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/1az34ea/the_wallet_connect_ecosystem_on_bch_keeps/
Lots from cashonize, paytaca, zapit, gurus, CashTokens.studio, cauldron, etc
Using CashToken Studio you can create a new token or Nfts for each event or meetup and then distribute them to attendees. The difference is there is no like.... stickerbook or fancy site etc to show off your collection for clout etc yet.
Thank you, yes. I was figuring out that's the primary difference is the fancy wallet / stickerbook specifically for a token that conforms to a particular 'protocol' as per POAP. But for now, to have cashtoken NFTs will be a nice start and an incentive to get involved with that part of the BCH ecosystem.
Many of us meetup organizers created local tokens that we gave out to attendees just to get them used to using tokens and a nice keepsake. But yes the "collection" app is missing. / someone should build that.
Yeah, I was going to mention this. The NFTs can be viewed in Cashonize, and perhaps in Paytaca, maybe others, but I think they mean a read-only show-off site vs a private-key-holding wallet app.
@sploit created one https://viewer.sploit.cash/
Not quite the same but pretty close. The whole gamification of complete collections etc isnt there. Cool to have a viewer but its not the complete package
hm, never used something like that then. any links to one you’ve liked on another chain?
Ive never used an attendance one like the one linked above https://poap.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/9494654007437-What-is-POAP But back in the colored coin days, like 2015, there was some cool stuff on indiesquare
I was asking in general, not specific to poap but there’s some good examples of collections when following the links, thanks.
