You already know that to begin with, I think that this group should not exist and if it did exist, it should never have been taken as something official, much less be promoted by EOS Labs and ENF. But the problem is... Why have they refused to make it public for so long? It is already a fact that there are ram millionaires, Yves said it. What had to be done has already been done.

Yeah, I can't really productively speak to why this wasn't done sooner. Labs seemed to think it was the right approach at the time, but Labs seems agreeable to making the chat history publicly viewable now. Good first step. People can review history and see what was missed and discuss it (like we're doing with those screenshots.) I think it not being publicly readable from the beginning was a mistake and it hurt community trust.
