this service that pairs well with, and could be a feature of unspent, that allows me to encrypt a prepared queue of messages on chain that are then decrypted and sent only on specific dates (or blocks) in the future (together with, or without, a payment).
For examples-
- I could send different bday wishes to my recipient each year even after my death.
- I could reveal a passphrase to someone in the future
- I could rig it to forward each to x as tweets
- I could send reminders to my future self
- it could be used to create various games between many players
- it could be used to trigger future things that must listen for a future ack/nack
- canary? 🦜 reverse canary?
Etc.
best is to find a person to send a physical card or flowers or whatever.

Ya it’s not interesting if a server were required
It could be done, but it'd be difficult, expensive and complicated. You'd have a contract where the holder of an nft could get a reward for publishing your encrypted message after a certain date. So you have a set of people with NFTs waiting to publish your encrypted message for money. With the same method you have a different set of people waiting to publish the encryption key. If successful, the good actors' NFT batons could each unlock an extra reward on a contract announcing the complete clear message. If baton holders collude to publish early, the incentives could be taken by miners. Or you could have a simpler announcement.cash where the baton holder can only claim a reward after a certain date.
