That's how it is. But Telos is doing it in a very particular way that differentiates it from other projects since it is proposing a hardware-software co-design. Hardware is the way to truly scale ZK. I know you know who Justin Bons is. Well, in a tweet he recognizes the importance of hardware for ZK. https://x.com/Justin_Bons/status/1801315578994426207 In my opinion, at some point the current ZK-focused projects will pivot towards hardware acceleration but when that happens you will see Telos take the lead and build their ZKEVM L2 from the ground up with hardware in mind.
