Of course it's possible to do it for a SPV wallet, it's just that no one has done the work. When a transaction is received, fetch all parents recursively up until all ancestors are confirmed. Check if each of these are eligible for DSPs (i.e. not a p2sh or SIGHASH_UTXO or whatever). Tell Fulcrum to subscribe to DSP for the first transaction.

Lack of dsproof adoption is directly linked to no fulcrum support for chained TXes. See issue. There is simply no way to add support without a full node otherwise.
