Even if you got 20 million people to run mining nodes, most of them would turn them off permanently the first time they lost their Internet for a day due to a DDOS attack because this “vote” you’re so worried about is not a priority for them and certainly not worth missing out on an Instagram reel.

I wasn’t there when that happened but i thought it was because they were minorities they can DDOS them

DDOS attacks are generally bought from botnet operators who have bigger Internet pipes than individuals (miners or otherwise). When they're sending more data directly at you than your download can handle, you won't have much of anything in either direction.
