Hey everyone. I’m pretty new to crypto but I’ve been

learning a lot. After understanding the fork more clearly I’m thinking of moving what I’ve got in BTC over to BCH.
I want to do it because BCH seems more ethical than BTC and BCH seems to follow the solution which was put in place by the developers in the early days.
I don’t have any friend who I can rap with about crypto so I just want to ask if my basic idea is sound?

I hear what you’re saying but a lot of ppl balance between all these coins but I’m thinking of it like actually a kind of money now instead of when I got into it as a wealth store hoping for the next spike which was my initial understanding when moving into this space.

If you want to get rich quick all the pump and dump meme coins that are here for 15 minutes is the way to go assuming you can time the market and not end up holding a bag. If you are more interested in new money for the world that anyone anywhere can use, not limited by fees or full blocks with optional really strong privacy, then you are in the right place.

Cheers. I’ve already made a lot of mistakes but now I’ve got a different idea. Preferably I’d like to grow through the DeFi chains like ETH and SOL and make that all above board etc but BCH as where it comes back to as spending or money. I can see the problem getting it into fiat but I don’t have the mental speed for the token stuff yet.

There is no guarrantee that BCH will ever beat BTC. We are the more fair, more honest, and more usable chain, and that's hard fact. But as in life, the good rarely wins over manipulative evil. This is because of ignorance of the majority. As someone said years ago, "the only thing necessary for the evil to win, is for the regular people to do nothing." So, if nothing happens (and most of the time, nothing happens), you are better to hedge your bets, by holding both BTC and BCH in 1:10 ratio. For example, if you own 1 BTC, also buy 10 BCH, so you're good if either one wins out in the end.
