run several nodes rather than stake more than is minimally required to run a node?
yes, you can run several
So it would be better to say for example run 20 nodes than running only one with a lot of DAG?
I believe this to be the case.. the overriding factors that will affect PRO score (which determines rewards) would be uptime and age of node.. better to just run more nodes that stack it in one
i imagine most with n x 250k DAG will opt to run n nodes. but the tokenomics paper has a section in it that describes an advantage to having >250k DAG in a single node - i don't remember it in great detail, but i believe it results in increased throughput (and so increased rewards), among other things
Thank you for the clarity.
Interesting insight, I’ll look for that for more clarity.
It's unclear if this is referring to a State Channel running its own nodes, whereby, if they needed it, they could increase their feeless throughput allowance by staking more $DAG in the wallet... in this case, rewards wouldn't apply.. It's also been suggested that not all nodes could benefit from higher staking amounts, but some of them could depending on age and PRO score...
yeah this is a good point, it's not as clear as it could be
