differences between applying to be a node operator on the test net, vs participating in the soft nodes in November. What's the difference here?

Ahh, so is there an advantage to applying for a main net node at this time? I'm guessing that delays earning? (This is totally fine, I'd rather the mainnet be perfect than stress over earnings). I guess I'm trying to figure out the advantage of applying to be a mainnet node operator?

You will ultimately need to redirect your staked dag to the main net node when the time comes!

Absolutely! From what I'm gathering, there is no clear advantage. You can start earning with soft nodes in November, and the mainnet application allows you to apply to onboard onto the mainnet and assist with the network. Regardless, all of us with 250k DAG will eventually be on the mainnet. It sounds like soft staking may be the way to go. Someone please correct me if I have that wrong.
