How would crypto mining fit into DAG’s PRO architecture? That

seems like a POW concept doesn’t it? I understand the hypergraph will need many nodes if it’s awesome ambitions are realized, but those would ideally be powered by “Lite nodes” aka computational power providers with less than 250,000 DAG staked. Can anyone explain this to me please, from a conceptual standpoint? I realize that the specifics of what mining means will be released over time, just want to know how this melds with my understanding of the company and PRO

One way could be data mining. But that's just me speculating.

Why couldn't it be both - proof of mining data and reputation on the quality of data.

Thanks for responding! That sounds awesome! I’m on board! I don’t know much about data mining so I will need to do some research!

My interpretation of data mining in the context of a decentralized computational network is that of continually processing patterns of data from oraclized data streams to discover meaning. So in the case of Dor, I would imagine that the actual computations of the foot traffic patterns are being conducted at the edge of the network rather than in a centralized data lake house. This is known as "edge computing" and is the next evolution in optimizing efficiency and security of computational networks. The Dor sensor in this case will provide an enriched data set versus just a raw stream of data which can then be potentially aggregated and stored into a centralized database, or more likely, into a distributed data store fabric such as the one Kinnami provides (or IPFS, etc.). This is of just one data set that can be accessed among other data sets that will eventually be "mined" from various sensors and endpoints that are oraclizing data into the network. You can then begin to create a domain specific language dedicated to composing sophisticated queries across these various data sets which would comprise of a decentralized knowledge engine which would abide by the security and access control parameters defined by the various businesses who produce/own the data. This is only possible because of the native oraclization and data normalization properties of the layer zero infrastructure that these state channels are operating over. Another form of "data mining" could manifest itself as literal proof of work mining of crypto currency tokens to support a particular network that has integrated itself into the hypergraph as a state channel. In the end all of this can be reduced down in one way or another as "data mining", regardless of the data type. In this example I would imagine that an L0 token would be involved and could invoke a cross chain atomic swap facilitated through lattice, meaning you could indirectly mine a POW token on an external network and then receive the reward as a L0 representation of its value passed into the hypergraph or through the hypergraph to trigger the value exchange within the original network. I think the key point here is you can interact with external networks through state channels in various way (some of which i admit, are my assumptions of the mechanics in this particular scenario).

Absolutely brilliant. I was able to follow about half of it (I don't have a tech background, I'm a speech pathologist by trade, and a trader), but I'm going to continue breaking it down to digest it because it's absolutely fascinating!
