just a reframing of nodes, or is this a change in tack as to the actual fundamentals of the network? Should we expect a new white paper?
I get a little confused when I hear the phrase “data mining”, as if there were somehow a well defined and obvious connection between this phrase and the term “mining” as it is usually applied to crypto (typically referring to PoW, a totally different consensus mechanism than the one that this network uses).
If “data mining” refers just to the validation and transmission of data according to Proof of Reputable Observation, and not something new, then I would assume that this is just about real nodes (“hard node staking”), no?
I’m keen to learn more.
Great questions, always admire people that want to have a deeper understanding and ask questions. I can only answer based on my current level of understanding its hard without having an expert to verify if I am explaining this correctly but will do my best to answer you So there are various ways to collect mine or harvest data depending on what it is you seek. Hardware mining to me would be data collected buy drones or with footfall detectors like that of Dor as there is a physical device required to collect the data. The cloud collected data does not require a specific device so I even if it comes from the use of a phone or desktop it a specific device isn't costume built for the purpose so not hardware specific. Hypergraph can harness, authenticate, validate and interoperable multiple data sets and streams this is shown by its variety of statechannels and how $cbd will use drones and $dor will use custome footfall detectors to $ads that's data will be via Internet and cloud also I presume. I am sure there are more examples but hope that is somewhat helpful
