I think that DFI is going up more than TSLA for example, then it makes more sense to just hold the DFI and don't participate in liquidity mining. Correct?
not nessesarily if u get 300 % or 400 % APR of your LM you will get so much DFI that u will be bedder if u are in the pool
Staking
Could you please elaborate?
why ? example: u have 1000 DFI , now u do LM with this 1000 DFI and get over the entire year lets say 200 % = ur rewards = 2k DFI, if u would stake it you would get lets say 40 % APY = u have 1000 DFI + 400 DFI = 1400 DFI , so overall u would have more DFI if do LMM one year ! no madder what the DfI price dopes
Okay, thanks, I think I got it now. I somehow assumed before that it was possible to keep the DFI and still participate in LM with rewards. But I guess that would be to good to be true ;)
the point is a lot of people do LM than they go out than they go in thats bad, if u decide to do LM u should do it longterm 1 year or more
Okay, that point I do not understand. Why is the timespan important? Not that I was planning to go in and out on a daily basis but what is the problem with that?
becasue u cant calculate which impact impermant loose shorterm will have shorterm IL could be > Rewards u get, longterm its mathematically impossible that your impermant loose > your rewards
Yes, I agree. But it´s still true, that if I do LM I´m basically betting that the rewards for the timespan that I´m holding the token (day/week/month/year/whatever) are bigger than the DFI price increase in the same timespan. So if the APR is for example 3600% I would get 300% in one month. So I´m betting that the DFI price is increasing less than 300% in the next month. Otherwise I would be better of in just holding DFI and not do LM (assuming the token is not increasing/decreasing in value in that timespan).
mh no because if u hold in this example ur 1k DFI u will after one Month still 1k DFI if do LM u would have ur inital invest + 3k DFI
