leveraged long with decentralized loans, I am playing with 50usd just to test it out
Guide:
At a DFI price of $2.50 you buy 300 DFI (investment $750) to use them as colleteral for a decentralized loan (investment: $750)
For the value of $750 you will get 500 dUSD (150% collateralization). You will use this dUSD to buy 200 DFI on the DEX (investment: $500)
Additional (triple long): Use the 200 DFI ($500 worth) again to receive a decentralized loan, receive 333.33 dUSD and buy 133.33 DFI
After one year DFI price goes up to $4.00 dUSD.
For additional triple long position: Sell 133.33 DFI on DEX and get 533.33 dUSD. Put 333.33 dUSD + 16.66 dUSD interest into loan (profit: $183.34)
Sell the 200 DFI on the DEX and receive 800 dUSD. With 500 dUSD + 25dUSD of interest close the loan and receive your investment of 300 DFI (profit: $275).
Sell your investment of 300 DFI for 1200 dUSD (profit: $450)
👉My question: how to sell DFI if they are locked and used as a collateral?
Guide says "sell the DFI" om DEX to get back dUSD" My question is how to to sell DFI if they are locked as a collateral? Maybe the authout thought: sell another DFI you have on dex and repay the loan....
You get them from closing the loan. So isn't the question rather how to close the loan?
Could be. I used to close it with payback options? when I click payback the loan I have only options to payback with dUSDwhich I do not have.
But you should have it since you took it out as a loan before, no? Or is the problem that it's maybe still collateral in a second loan? Then I would close that one first and then close the other. But I'm guessing since I also don't have experience yet. Maybe you should just try it with a small amount and see.
Yes, I had DFI and used it like a collateral to get dUSD then used dUSD to buy more DFI which I put as a collateral. Now all my DFI are locked as a collateral and I can't sell them to ged dUSD. Yeah I am doing all of this with 50$ just to test everything out.
