Does this mean you won’t be able to send dBTC

to cake for eventual withdraw? It is literally my only way to do so since I live in the US.

Apart from today's current issue, I live in USA and it's not my only way to withdraw. Just depends on your purpose, but to cash out you can convert anything in Defichain to DFI and send to Kucoin and convert back to something else and send to your preferred offboarding exchange. ie. convert to Bitcoin or Litecoin and send to Coinbase to convert to cash then send to bank. Or I can send to my Bitpay debit card account and convert to cash spend on my debit card. Kucoin requires no KYC on accounts on less than 1 BTC daily withdrawals.

My withdrawals would be way north of 1 BTC if ever. 😅

At the moment no, Cake disabled the dBTC deposits from the defichain community, following the indication from this, until further notice. Until the defichain community can give a positive feedback on the operations to be resumed, Cake will not perform any deposit of this.
