What do you mean down 45% which pool are you meaning? They look fairly normal to me - besides that they generally move down - the btc pool is even up.

Masternodes are implementing upgrades due to the recwnt exploit, may happen that while less are online, that rewards are less in the meantime

My rewards are currently down 60%. Still better than 12 hours ago when it was 80% less. Will this be compensated later or is it lost?

Will not be compensated, but also not be lost. Will be paid as usual. The chain halted, meaning that no blocks were found. If no blocks are found, no rewards are issued because there are no rewards to be paid. However, the usual rewards decay will also not be verified, as its fixed by each number of blocks, giving the usual aprox. 11.65 days per new decay. If the network halts, that same decay halts. So as soon as network will speed up, rewards will gradually grow up again to the usual values and be paid as always. The decay is delayed since no blocks are found, so rewards will be paid during more time before the new decay. So as said, they will not be compensated, but also not lost. They will be paid as usual. Compensation is a word that is best used whrn there is an actual loss, which is not the case. For a losso to happen, the chain would need to be working normally and bo rewards at all being issued, that would be a loss. But no, network halted, so no loss. With eaxg new block found by the masternodes, rewards will be paid normally, more and more and more MN speed up, until achieve the usual values :)
