to confirm… could state channels be used as building blocks for new projects, sort of in the same way as we hear the term DeFi legos when referring to dApps combining multiple protocols?
For example, if a Decentralized Identity solution were to build a state channel, could other state channel businesses incorporate that DID technology into their platform so each new user account has a DID associated with it?
To further elaborate, it would make sense to me that a great state channel business idea is one that almost every single state channel would need/want to use. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding!
I know there’s a lot of messages that come through here everyday so this probably got buried, but I’m hoping someone can give me some clarity on this
Yes and definitely a good idea 😉
Yes. The Hypergraph is built to be very interopable. Since it would also be easy to swap tokens between different state channels.
Thanks, I assume there will be multiple DID statechannels then and they’ll compete for market share.
Correct a likely outcome - free market forces at play :)
Awesome- that’s what I thought. So for example, I could see The Void being integrated into many different state channel business models as the NFT marketplace solution of choice. But each business would choose which features of the Void they’d want to leverage for their specific business model?
Love it. I see HGTP spurring a similar wave of business model innovation as we saw with HTTP (.com boom) in the mid-late 90s
Yep this is definitely possible - State Channels can seamlessly be programmed to leverage/utilize different State Channels. E.g. a possible way you already spoke about is a decentralized identity managment which the Lattice State Channel could use for its Launchpad.
