Here’s a segment from the forthcoming write up of the AMA: Brand identity will remain consistent across geographies, but we will target different audiences for different products. For example, for fiat remittance, we will start marketing more aggressively to the offshore worker segments, specifically the offshore Filipino worker (OFW) demographic in the US and Canada, since the US-Philippine and US-Canada corridors are our largest addressable fiat remittance corridors. We're looking at a variety of advertising channels, including social media, relevant websites, and physical ads in key geographies where we have identified large OFW populations. Future marketing may also be targeting more of a blockchain native segment, thus we will focus on ads placed with popular blockchain and crypto outlets. In time, we will start seeing more Telcoin logos out in the wild.

I loved this segment of the AMA. Can’t wait to see the marketing vision come to life. Also, the marketing vision was explained so clear and brilliant. Well done guys 🙂

How about using your actual telcoin community and crypto standing as well. Im sure there are TEL holders who have relatives that live abroad and millions of cryptocurrency traders/investors who don't yet know of Telcoin also likely are an international crowd who can help "sell" Telcoin to friends/family and spreading the word on social media. So don't forget attracting the cryptocurrency users crowd. Im sure Telcoin team over the course of long term wants to attract more than the OFW crowd if they really want to take on the likes of Western Union types.

Certainly true also and those targets are mentioned towards the end there (‘blockchain native…crypto outlets’ etc). We do have a plan for our crypto audience, but we really want to focus on increasing our remittance corridor usage too. Many targeting demographics (i.e. OFW’s) are not as passionate for crypto like the Telegram and Twitter community are.

Ad placement with popular crypto outlets and and blockchain? I was hoping more on the lines of Coinbase where you get real results with the global crypto community that use their friends family and social media to spread the word of Telcoin since they will have a 1st hand personal interest, not placing an advertisement on some CoinDesk or something.

Sorry don’t wanna reveal too much here but just wanna chime in since this was the question I dove into in the AMA- advertising on an exchange where we’re not yet listed doesn’t make sense to me at this time, but we’re certainly not going to limit ads to crypto media sites. Think more along the lines of “general” sites like CoinGecko and Etherscan, which have huge, relevant audiences.

Hi Jeff, great hearing from you yesterday! Not trying to bombard you with questions but if you could indulge. Are the mock-up photos on the new website accurate from a fee perspective? I think it was 1.25% on $200. Secondly isn’t your birthday this month, do you think we can bring back the birthday ama that got pushed from last year and get some progress updates from the BD side of the house , I’m super curious on new partners/corridors or licenses. I just realized I asked for another ama, yikes haha

Fees may vary by corridor and amount sent, but generally based on my research, we’re still the cheapest method in existing (live) addressable corridors even on fiat. Target remains 2% or less (including fee and FX margin) for what we consider to be “typical” remittance amounts. As for an AMA, still keen, but there is a lot happening with Rivendell and marketing these days so I want to keep my head down and have a bit more to show off before then. If you haven’t noticed, my title changed from VP BD to EVP BD & Communications, so I am taking increasing brand awareness very seriously these days while Rajesh plugs into his industry contacts to grow Rivendell and beyond. That’s not to say I am not still very active in seeking/pushing forth the integration of new partners, but I actually prefer the ability to wear multiple hats and am really loving being more involved in the marketing/comms side - especially since I began my career in media.

If I’d have to choose someone to be the main head for brand awareness, it’d definitely be you JT, can’t wait to see the impact you have

I see a mario best buy preorder banner ad on front page of coingecko. Most people ignore ads and many use ad block. If people have a potential personal gain in an asset, they are a lot more likely to spread the word about it to help grow that business than a random advertisement they see on a website. The fact that Telcoin has all these available platforms (huge cex's) to help spread the word and not to use them (in the future) is really a waste of additional available resources. Sure Telx is its own exchange but to grow a business over the long term, this includes continuously growing a userbase and if you have the available resources and platforms to help, take advantage of it, not ignore it. Good luck Telcoin.

I’m sure if you wanted to donate the millions of dollars of listing fees required for these exchanges the team would gladly accept that

I agree, ads on those sites ain’t going to achieve much. There’s no better marketing than getting listed on a big exchange imo. Billboards, newspapers for the OFW

Guys, the exchange listing talk is the deadest of dead horses being beat. Everyone is really tired of hearing it - it was acknowledged yesterday in detail and we are certainly not opposed to listing on large, compliant platforms in relevant jurisdictions, but this is obviously not something we can comment on publicly beyond what has already been shared over and over. If I could snap my fingers and be on all the tier-1 exchanges tomorrow, I would, but that’s just not how it works from both a regulatory perspective nor a financial one. I have been deep diving into a variety of on and offline marketing channels, for a long time now, to see what will give us the best ROI for both existing (live) fiat remit and future releases (3.1 and beyond). I appreciate suggestions, but I’m not gonna comment further since people go off on tangents after mentioning just one *possibility* before even actually *doing the thing* and allowing results to speak for themselves. Remember, when it comes to marketing, *we haven’t even started yet!*

Sorry I wasn’t asking for a listing, I was just saying it’s the best form of marketing. It’s how crypto users are exposed to other cryptos (other than from Twitter shillers). No need to fly off the handle. Another suggestion is making Telcoin the first result in google searches when someone searches for remittances, BOOM, it’s the first thing they’ll see. There’s a company called Climb Online who are based in the UK who help with this.

Slightly confused with this one. I was under the impression that even when the “tel engine” turns on, that regardless of how the recipient cashed out (fiat using partner/crypto using telx) that it would still use the engine regardless for all remittances. This being how you will keep it the cost down. Is this still what you mean, or when it’s all up and running some remittances will still be just fiat?
