currently have it in MetaMask. If so how do i send it to IoPay Desktop ??
👍yes
Just import your wallet from metamask to ioPay desktop using your phrase
Wouldn’t this just create another wallet? I already use IoPay desktop with a Ledger for staking. I have Machine Fi NFT in my MetaMask. Can I get it all into one wallet on IoPay desktop ?
yes that's correct, it's an option. Just as long as you keep your private keys safe. You can also use iotexpunks.com to transfer to iopay 1) use metamask to connect to iotexpunks.com 2) copy the web3 address of the iopay wallet that you want to transfer to 3) on iotexpunks.com » manage my nfts » machinefi nft » transfer mfi nft to the address in step 2
Thanks… out of interest where do the MFI NFTs show up in the iotex desktop application ? I mean where can they be viewed etc
one sec, I haven't used the desktop iopay for quite sometime. Will have to check first
hey you can click on the Add Token and use this contract io1p3dtqfkhf3z3xa4y0xp59f595r5e5klwwnrex7 It will show as MFI
I can see the MFI token in my MetaMask wallet. When I select it I get a stop sign which says “unavailable on this network” … in the same metamafk wallet I have Iotex .. So I sent some text Iotex from MetaMask to IoPay desktop and this worked fine (using the ETH address how you described earlier) Do you know Why am I unable to select the MFI tokens in MetaMask ?
is this metamask for desktop? Because on mobile, I can select it
yep, I just confirmed, on desktop, the metamask extension doesn't fully support nfts yet. On mobile, nfts are fully supported (as in you can send/receive)
So is the only way to get these into IoPay desktop or mobile to import the MetaMask seed phrase. Into the IoPay desktop… then I guess they will be seen in IoPay desktop. Can you confirm this is correct Thanks
btw, just to add to this, it's not new as in a new wallet created from scratch with 0 content, it's new as in the interface you use to interact with your tokens. When running the iopay desktop just now, this just came to me. In iopay mobile, the term import is used because that wallet will be added to a list of wallets and easily accessible via a few taps. When using iopay desktop, the term import is not really valid. Every time you want to use iopay desktop you need to unlock it with your private key. So if you have the private key of the metamask wallet you used to manage your mfi, you should be able to see the same contents of your metamask wallet (with IoTeX Mainnet) inside the iopay desktop which is unlocked using its private key.
I'm confused by my own sentence. Basically if you have the private key of your metamask, you can access its content using iopay desktop
Yes that all makes perfect sense.. I will try it later. 👍
