state channels could define its own custom consensus mechanism or they can already inherit the PRO which is a validation occurring at every Layer 0, right?
If for example a layer 1 state channel chooses to have its own custom consensus mechanism, will it still be validated by the L0 protocol as a final consensus mechanism? If so, what’s the benefit or what’s the point of having the output of a Layer 1 being validated again by the L0 if it’s already done at the Layer 1 level?
sorry I don’t understand this part. For your reference, this is coming from HH episode 23.
So layer 1 state channels submit a snapshot that represents the collective state of that layer 1 into the L0 where consensus is conducted on all of the layer 1 snapshots proposed, converging into the global layer 0 state snapshot.
