still working together or is COTI now something of a competitor with their own DAG tech offering?
I don't see COTI listed under partnerships or anything on the Constellation website. I would describe it as symbiotic? In that I believe (don't quote me here) Constellation ran or at one point was running a few Coti nodes. Beyond this, I don't have anything tangible.
That wouldn't create any competition. DAG is a technology that many companies can use. The Hypergraph is a DAG with many other forms of technology built into it. It uses DAG at it's core... But the tech built on top of it is what makes it truly amazing. The Hypergraph allows many DAG and Blockchain networks to run on top of it. It can connect to all types of data.
There was never anything that said they weren't working together. So I would assume everything is still the same as before.
Right. I found the node info as well. I kind of get the impression COTI worked with us long enough to "borrow" the graph tech and then did their own thing. Also, nothing tangible aside from descriptions on their website of their tech, Trustchain = PRO Score, etc. Essentially it appears to me they just used Constellation to steal the tech. And that pisses me off.
The end of the day we play nice in the sandbox with any crypto/tech. I doubt COTI has managed to get every piece of the HGTP figured out OR they don't want to mess with ANY DATA being on their network. Far as I know --no other tech is doing or will be doing the many DATA types welcome to tx onto the NETWORK/HGTP.
Back in the day there was some gathering of DAG based crypto projects that both COTI and DAG where in. There was some collaboration in that the DAG team ran a Node on COTI. Im sure their tech is something they came up with by themselves, so dont be pissed about that ;) . Link probably got deleted cause we generally want the conversation here to be about $DAG.
Yeah, just being protective I guess. Even the payments sector is what, a multi-hundreds-of-billions dollar industry? COTI hopes to replace Visa. So, maybe we help Visa build a state channel instead.
Our network is welcoming to all kinds of business adventures. If a company wants to build a state channel on the Hypergraph that does that specific task then they can.
