need to ask again after having a close look at defichain-analytics
The number of burned dfi, 271.703.414 atm
Is there a possibility that these coins enter the ecosystem/blockchain again and come back into supply?
At coingecko is still a total supply of 1.200.000.000 dfi.
Comparing this to "normal" erc20 token which burned, it should be
1.200.000.000 - 271.000.000 = 929.000.000 dfi as total supply.
So again the question, is it possible for the "burned" dfi to come back again in any form - reward, auctionating them, special payout with futures or anything else
@BerndMack @DanielZirkel
No if its burnt, taken out of circulation, the information might be outdated
Taken out of circulation for ever? Or is it possible to reverse it in the future with other features?
Nobody can remove these coins from the burn address with the current code. So, they are permanently not part of the circulating supply With a hardfork everything is theoretical possible. Also on Bitcoin you could change the max supply with a hardfork.
They are out of the game. Only way to bring them to back, is via Hard Fork which needs to be supported by the majority of the masternodes. But that also applies to any blockchain
