But cross chain transfers take even longer right? So if you’re processing txs across different chains for users then their funds need to move cross chain every so often if 1 chain is congested?

True, that’s how I’m seeing it too, and to ensure the user’s experience isn’t negatively affected by the need to use a lot of chains. That should all be behind the scenes I think.
