I already have a stargazer wallet account, but the app only has the option to creat a new account?
There’s an import option as well
You can restore from your seed phrase but there’s no such thing as a Stargazer account. There’s no central server for you to log into. Restoring from seed phrase will give you access to the same DAG/ETH wallet addresses on their respective networks.
Please help me understand this concept. - So on my laptop I have stargazer. I created a password, I was given a seed phrase, and was to verify documents. - now, you’re saying I need to provide/export seed phrase to the app and that will grant me access. - Well I have done that and it didn’t get me access to it. Instead it prompted me to the step where I have to create a password to get started. Why do I need to creat a password when I already have a password to my stargazer wallet?
Each install of Stargazer is totally local to the environment that you install it to. This is different than accounts you have on a standard website that verifies your login information against a database on a centralized server. The password that you create is used to encrypt your private keys locally and never shared outside of that environment (Chrome extension or iOS). So essentially, the iOS app has no way of knowing or caring what your existing password is for your Chrome install.
