Stargazer app on iPhone more secure than a browser extension on Chrome?
Not sure how the security measures have been implemented in the IoS app, but also curious to see other peoples opinions. Both options store your private key (encrypted) locally on the device and are equally secure I think. But it depends how you use the devices I guess. If you use the chrome extension on a computer that is solely used for crypto transactions and no other software is installed and you don't visit any sites other then the dapps you interact with, then I'd say that's more secure. If you use it on a laptop with a lot of software installed, that you use daily where you visit lots of sites, then that could pose a security issue. Same goes for the phone. Also, you can lose a phone and someone can find it and try to get your keys (but since it's encrypted, that should be fine - unless you stored the password in plain text somewhere) I would never hold large amounts of crypto on a phone or a laptop that I use daily. And I'm patiently waiting for the hardware wallet integration in stargazer for that additional layer of security 😊
Good points. Thank you.
