Anybody suggest the best place to buy DFI without spiking

the price? I have tried Kucoin but every purchase seems to spike the price

Best place with deepest liquidity is the Defichain DEX. So if you want to trade like $100k it's best to create a Cake Defi account, send BTC to Cake, or your preferred coin that is on Defichain (best Liquidity is Bitcoin for large swaps) , then withdraw it to your Defichain Wallet and swap it for DFI on the DEX. Might still want to keep it under 50k per swap just to minimize slippage, wait a little while and do it again. Or do larger amounts and pay a little more in slippage if in a hurry.

Funny thing, when I first started on Cake, I only thought I could wrap. Took a bit of digging to realize I could unwrap too.😅

There are only three or four exchanges I know of that even trade DFI. It's really an issue of liquidity so I don't think you're going to be able to do much about moving price. I would either use a limit order, or wrap another coin through Cake and swap on the DEX
