to conserve water. I got a notice from dept of water and power of hearing on proposed 10% water rate hike due to drought. Why should I pay 10% more when I conserve water? I drive by homes in Beverly Hills that have massive pools and are watering massive lawns with half the water draining into sewers which goes into the pacific ocean. They are rich and don't care about a 10% water hike, they can afford it. Water restrictions are really hard to enforce. LA should mandate a 20% water rate increase for everyone but for those who opt-in to the water program can get 15%-18% instant credit for achieving water saving goals, effectively paying just a 5%-2% increase. This would work for other cities in California, Nevada, Texas etc. and similar program for conserving electricity too. Maybe too ambitious for iotex, partner with chainlink? Eric Schmidt could call Newsom and get it done! I'll send this to Chainlink reddit.
